SMC Gallery Hosting Works Of UGA Professor

SPARTANBURG, SC -- The Mary Ellen Suitt Gallery at Spartanburg Methodist College is currently hosting the works of artist and University of Georgia faculty member Larry Millard.
Millard is a professor of art and sculpture, as well as the sculpture program coordinator, in the University of Georgia's Lamar Dodd School of Art.
His work has been selected for numerous exhibits in the United States and Europe and is included in many private, state and public collections.
A reception will be held for the artist from 5 -7 pm on Wednesday, Mar. 31, in the gallery. He will present at gallery talk at 6 pm.
The public is invited to attend the reception and the talk.
He will also be visiting with and talking to the SMC art classes while on campus.
The Mary Ellen Suitt Gallery is located in the Marie Blair Burgess Library at SMC and is open from Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am - 10 pm; Friday, 8:30 am - 1:30 pm; and Sunday, 7 pm - 10 pm.
Spartanburg Methodist College is in its 99th year of providing quality education to students in a Christian environment. More than 90 percent of SMC graduates continue their education at other institutions of higher learning.
