Admissions Requirements:

New Students: (Students not previously enrolled at SMC or not currently enrolled at another institution.) Complete a Summer College Application and submit it with a $20 non-refundable application fee to the Office of Admissions at Spartanburg Methodist College. Submit a high school transcript with graduation date, and transcripts from all colleges attended. For information, write or call the Admissions Office, 864-587-4213 or toll free at 1-800-772-7286.

Continuing Students: (Students who are currently enrolled at SMC.) Complete a Summer College Application and submit it to the Registrar's Office at Spartanburg Methodist College. You may also register directly with your advisor.

Transient Students: (Students who are currently enrolled at another college or university are considered transient students.) Complete a Summer College application secure the written authorization of the Registrar or Academic Dean at the college or university where you are a regularly enrolled student. Send the application and a $20 non-refundable application fee to the Office of Admissions at Spartanburg Methodist College, 1000 Powell Mill Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.

Course Load: Students make take one or two (3 hour or 4 hour) courses and a physical education course in the term.

Dropp/Add Period: The last day to drop ro add courses is Friday, May 28 at 12 pm.

Costs:

Tuition Expense: $196 per credit hour

Attention summer session students: Any students wanting to take advantage of the 2-for-1 summer classes must pay by 12:30 pm this Friday, May 14

Room and Board: The Room and Board costs for the term are $887. Meals are available Monday-Friday. Residence halls are open seven days a week during the term. Residence halls will open for student check-in on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, between 3 pm and 5 pm. Residence halls will close at 5 pm on June 25.

Other Expenses: The cost of books and supplies will vary by course and course load. Information regarding financial aid may be obtained by contacting the Admissions Office at 864-587-4213, or the Financial Aid Office at 864-587-4231.
